How to print a large file across multiple printers with load balancing
Products
required in this tip are:
Batch & Print Pro v6.00 or greater
and the document type addon, for this example we've used word .doc files
so the
DOC Addon is required to do page ranges.
For example; say you have a 100 page
word document and you want to split it across 5 printers, each printer
will receive 20 pages.
The way this works is you add the file 5 times to the main Batch & Print
Pro list and set each file to print the page range e.g. 1-20, 21-40,
41-60 etc etc
Then you load balance the files in the list to 5 printers.
A Step by step guide:-
1. Download & Install Batch &
Print Pro:
//www.traction-software.co.uk/downloads/BatchPrintProInstall.exe
2. Download & Install the Batch & Print Pro Addon e.g. DOC Addon for
word doc files from here: //www.traction-software.co.uk/batchprint/addons/
3. Run Batch & Print Pro
Add the file 5 times to the list e.g.

4.
Right mouse on each file and select 'Addon Setup...'

5.
Set the page start and end range for each file e.g. file 1 to 1-20
and file 2 21-40 etc etc

6.
Scroll the main window list across to see the addon
parameters are set correctly for each file like below.

7.
Click File menu, Printer Load Balance Files in List...

8.
Click 'Use round robin method checkbox' and set each printer
up like below for number of load balanced printers required.

9.
Click Save/Exit and then Click 'Yes' to apply to all in the
list.

10. Now you can check
that the load balanced prints is set for every file by scrolling across.

10. Click 'Print'
the output should be like below.

Scroll across to see what prints have been sent to which printer.
